Conflict Minerals
Statement regarding “Conflict Minerals” to customers of DEUTA Mechanics GmbH
Notwithstanding the information previously provided by DEUTA Mechanics GmbH regarding the “Conflict Minerals”, this document states, to the best of our knowledge and belief, the following at the present time:
DEUTA Mechanics GmbH is committed to the safety, health and protection of people and the environment.
DEUTA Mechanics GmbH does not purchase raw materials that are knowingly, directly or indirectly, labelled as “Conflict Minerals” by raw material suppliers who finance or profit from armed groups or neighboring countries.
DEUTA Mechanics GmbH works with suppliers who ensure that they and their suppliers are free of conflict minerals and support our policy. Many of our suppliers have a similar policy.
Due to the complexity of the ways in which metals, especially precious metals, are melted, recycled and sold, including the common practice of mixing ores and scrap from many different sources, it is often impossible for companies to obtain full traceability and an accurate origin for all of these materials.
We will continuously seek further practical measures to ensure that materials from conflict regions are not placed on the market in our supply chain or in our products.
