Information from DEUTA Mechanics GmbH regarding REACH (EU Chemicals Regulation)
In our own interest and in the interest of ensuring a high level of supply and product safety, we are issuing a statement on the European Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
We want to inform you, our customers, about the current status of the implementation of REACH within our company and thus comply with the required information obligation according to Article 33 of the REACH Regulation.
It is of great importance to us, as an actor within the supply chain, to fulfill our obligations in order to avoid a disruption in the supply chain.
How does DEUTA Mechanics fulfill its obligations to its customers?
- We ensure that the substances we use are registered.
- We generally instruct our suppliers to always provide up-to-date safety data sheets.
- Our raw material suppliers have been obliged to inform us immediately as soon as they become aware of the presence of a substance of very high concern (SVHC) above a mass concentration of 0.1% in the raw materials supplied to us.
- EU suppliers of products that are processed in our products in relevant quantities have also been obliged to inform us proactively if the products they supply contain an SVHC substance with a concentration above 0.1% by mass.
- We will immediately and comprehensively inform our customers if we become aware of the presence of an SVHC substance in one of our processed pre-products.
- Our hazardous materials register has been supplemented with the entry “REACH”, and the candidate list of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has been incorporated into the register.
- In our integrated management system, the procurement, handling and disposal of hazardous substances are clearly regulated.
